I've Fallen And I Can't Reach My Butter Pat!!

Paula Deen
Shovel it in and out, Girlfriend!!!

Poor Paula Deen.  Should we feel sorry for her, or is the American Public right in bashing her?  I think we are right in bashing her.  David and I used to watch her show all the time.  But, then it got to the point where her recipes were becoming outrageously ridiculous.  I can honestly say that there are only two recipes of hers that I have ever used.  One was her Cheeseburger Meat Loaf.  Was not impressed.  The other is her Good Ol' Country Stuffing.  I make this every Thanksgiving.  Other than that her recipes just never gave me that 'Wow! I need to cook that' factor.  The problem with Paula is that she toted her cooking as OK to eat every day even for three years after having been diagnosed with diabetes.  Nobody in the world needs to eat like that on a daily basis.  Now, she has signed on to promote a diabetes medication that is one of the most expensive on the market and has links to thyroid cancer.  Is she seriously trying to kill herself and her fan base?  Or, has she gotten so money hungry that she will sell her soul for a few more bucks in her pocket?  She's already got a line of crappy cookware that costs a fortune and is so flimsy it would burn water before it had a chance to boil.  Then, she got her mug on some meat product label (Smithyfield) that costs so much that I won't even consider looking at it.  No, I don't feel sorry for the way her fans, and even her own children, are turning on her.  She apparently has gotten too big for her britches in more ways than one.
