WOOF! WOOF! (LMAO)

So there is a tree on the bank of the slough that runs past our little neighborhood.  A branch of it broke broke off quite a while ago I would assume as it is hollowed out.  In the hollow of this tree their lives a family of raccoons. They usually aren't out during the day.  The only time I have seen them wandering the neighborhood during the day was when cam over here to look at the house prior to renting it.

The tree with the hollowed out branch where the coons live as seen from our yard
Now David and I are wont to lay down in the afternoons and read for a bit and then, maybe, get a few winks of shut eye.  Yesterday I was done reading and was trying to get to sleep.  David went outside to smoke before his nap.  He came back in and asked if I were still awake.  I was (it wasn't a good nap day).  He said that apparently one of the coons was in the yard of the neighbor behind us.  He's cracking up while telling this.  He said he heard the neighbor lady shouting "Woof! Woof!  Go away coon!"  I'm sure she thought that the coon would think she was a dog and run off.  Well, these coons aren't like that.  They're city folk just like the rest of us.

Now, what I'm sure happened was this:

The coon heard her.  Stopped to see what was making the racket and if he should concern himself.  Probably not seeing any real threat, he just looked at her like she was a bug and sauntered off at its own meandering pace.
