Date Nights

David and I have become quite the homebodies over the last couple of years.  As we get older we find it more and more difficult to find places to go that aren't playing the attrocious noise that seems to pass as music these days.  While we were both working, and even after David lost his job, I or he were working so many hours that we were loathe to give up any of our quiet time together at home.  Then, with David losing his job and the cut in our income, it just became economically infeasible to spend the extra money.  We have friends over to dinner and an occassional small party, but that has been the extent of our socializing lately.  However, now that David is in school and his schedule is less demanding, and I am no longer allowed to work overtime ( thus being less tires), we have started having one date night per week (on the cheap).  We have finally discovered alternatives to going to the bars, or just out to dinner.  Portland State University; where David is attending, has quite a lot of activities.  Of course, I haven't really been paying attention to what they are offering, so I'm kind of at the mercy of David to decide what we do on these date nights.  That will change.  At any rate, we have found these activities to be refreshing, enjoyable and something to which to really look forward.
