Orcas Inn

But, alas, sometimes not everything on a vacation is all sunshine and roses.  After our little tour of the island we stopped at our motel to see if we could check in.  We were a little early and our room wasn't ready.  The front desk clerk was the most customer friendly person in the world.  So, we decided that we would just wander around Friday Harbor and see what there was to see.  It was a little warm and we were wearing jeans, so we stopped into a little pub for a refreshing cocktail.  When it was time to check in we went back to the motel and got our closet room.  And here it is:

Yep. That's it. Off to the right in the first photo is the shower and throne facility.  There is just enough room between the bed and the wall to open the door.  There is no place to put anything because the only piece of furniture besides the bed is a desk that also serves as the 'kitchen area.  The TV is hung on the wall because the only way you can watch it is while lying on the bed.  So, we laugh and make the most of it because we are on;y going to use it for sleeping and showering purposes anyway.  So, I decide to get a glass of water. No cups.  We looked everywhere in the closet room.  That didn't take long because there wasn't much of 'everywhere to look.  Also, no ice bucket. There's a phone book in one of the desk drawers, but no phone. No wi-fi access.  The only ammenity that this place had was a grocery store right next door so you can go and buy some the amenities that they should have supplied. DON'T EVER STAY HERE!!!!
