San Juan Island Wildlife

While we were tooling around the island we decided to stop at a place called American Camp.  There are remnants of the camp from the days when it was an American army outpost.  If you follow the trail you come to a fork in the road and one of the forks lead to Grandma's Cove.  We took the trail and happened upon this little guy.

There are two species on the island, but this appears to be a cross breed
because we could not find any information on a fox that looks like this.
This is not a zoom shot.  These foxes are very tame because people have been feeding them.  The forestry and conservation departments are making efforts to stop that from happening.  This fox cam to within 5 feet of us.  But, deciding that we had nothing to offer wandered off in search of its own meal.
